Groupís technology infrastructure is fortified by Cisco
routers and switches connected by fiber optic cable in our
Pittston corporate office. All branch offices are
linked via VPN connections.
Agency Management System
Our agency management system, AMS 360, is backed up
continuously and mirrored at two different locations in
Texas. In the event of an emergency, AMS can be
securely accessed from any location with an internet
We utilize DELL & HP servers and multiple domain controllers
running Windows Server 2003. We perform nightly
backups which are stored off-site as a key component of our
disaster recovery plan. Secure remote access to our network
is provided by our Citrix server.
Internet service is obtained through a T1 connection
along with a concurrent 768-port internet backup
connection in order to ensure optimal internet connectivity
to overcome any service interruptions. Internet access
is monitored and filtered to prevent any malicious internet
attacks and to ensure optimal employee productivity.
Wireless internet service is available for employees and
guests at our Pittston location.
Email communication is subject to an email retention policy
enforced at the server level. Incoming and outgoing
email is logged, scanned for viruses and filtered by an
external best-of-breed email service before it reaches our
internal email server.
Workstations, Automation & Imaging
All of our offices utilize DELL workstations equipped with
real-time corporate edition virus protection, Microsoft
Windows XP Professional and Microsoft Office 2003. We
have adopted paperless procedures whereby employees use
dual-monitors and both black and white and color
departmental scanners for imaging.
Our agency intranet, JOYCENET, includes regular carrier
updates, agency forms, service calendars and a message
board. Our Information Technology department designs
and develops over 15 different external websites. Our
www.joyceinsurance.com, allows clients to report claims
and request quotes, policy changes and certificates.
